"Wrapped" is a graduation short film from Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, created at the Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Postproduction. After running at over 100 festivals world wide and winning numerous awards the film is finally online.

Beautiful art project.

Not to take away from this at all, I loved it, but I'm still waiting on 'high tech' shorts that had the same intense haunting quality that I have memories of from pre-Avid-digital-3d-compositing times that were made on a shoestring budget clearly counting every frame. Now sometimes memories are better than when something is revisited but I still want more guts and poignancy from these kids.

I need to run it again with the sound on. The film has a splendid look to it anyway, and I have a secret passion for circuitous logic and fractals...but this followed it and I thought it was also really good.

Oh, and there is a billboard for Wrapped, with the rat looking at a vortex of the green, in the town square somewhere in the beginning.
