Is this a Twitter bot? Cuz that kinda makes me feel dumb. How can a robot come up with so many cool ideas!?!?

I want this! an illustration of Xena but like a Shepard Fairey piece

... I find it hard to believe that this doesn't already exist.

It's a painting of characters from Community dressed like they're in The Chronicles of Narnia

One, please.

Did someone mention Sonic the Hedgehog mashups? How about Sonic the Hedgehog performing Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt"?

I think the best part is finding stuff that already exists

ICYMI: It's a t-shirt that combines Street Fighter and Super Mario

done.

Our new favorite mashup: an illustration of glam rock Minion

Thank you Internet! It's a twitter account that mashes up Team Fortress 2 and Steven Universe -- actually not uncommon

I want this! a painting of punk HAL 9000 -- does steampunk count?

Tell me you've seen this: a t-shirt of Victorian the Joker -- you can just print any of these onto a shirt

Thank you Internet! an Art Nouveau Beauty and the Beast t-shirt -- yep

Best thing I've seen in weeks: It's a twitter account that combines Pocahontas and Street Fighter -- I feel like there's been Street Fighter versions of everything

So: a pin-up Adventure Time t-shirt -- kinda gross, but ok

Hear me out: It's a drawing of characters from The Two Towers dressed like they're in Toy Story -- this is the closest thing I found, but it's actually kinda well done

Our new favorite mashup: It's a drawing that mashes up Kingdom Hearts and Star Trek -- there isn't one, but Master Xehanort in 2 different games was voiced by Spock himself, Leonard Nemoy.

ICYMI: It's a blog that mashes up Guardians of the Galaxy and Indiana Jones -- done

ok I should probably get back to work.

Our new favorite mashup: It's a drawing that mashes up Kingdom Hearts and Star Trek

Sooo... for the past few weeks my boyfriend has been fanboying to me about Kingdom Hearts, and I've been fanboying to him about TNG. can this be a thing pls

You can start by telling him that the Heartless are like red shirts, they tend to not survive.

It's disappointing that this does not link to REAL mashups, because I follow the blogs & tumblrs of several artists who really do this kind of thing, like webcomic artist (but not writer) Lar DeSouza who does a weekly live stream of him drawing, and when he doesn't have anything better to draw, takes requests.

Examples:
Christopher Robin Robin
Edgar Allen Pokemon
Miley Coyote
Snow White and the Seven Lanterns
Jean Luchador Picard
Squirrel House Rock
Raiders of the Lost Archer
George Jar Jar Martins
Pee-Wee He-Man
Ghost/MythBusters
Mickey Horror Picture Show
Dennis the Phantom Menace (too old & obscure?)

Some politics gets into the mash:
Bernie and Morty
Drumpf? Sounds like a Smurf Trump

Even obits: Viggy Stardust

And a lot of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" mashery (which is kind of easy considering some of the new characters' names) ... in fact when he wanted to do a 'pledge gift' poster for his wife's MS fundraiser, he asked the viewers of his stream what would mash up well with the new SW .. the consensus was Animaniacs. He was briefly stumped how to title it until somebody (ME under another username) suggested "HELLOOOO FORCE!"

This kind of pop mashup work is really perfect for illustrators who are kind of idling between paid projects, and want to keep the momentum up but don't have some kind of Visionary Passion Project to work on. As a snobby art student, I found it kinda trite I guess. But in the real world, it's fun to do and gets a lot of positive feedback.

The flip side being when a band's art director rejects that album cover you spent a week working on because it "looks too digital" when all the reference material they gave you was digital art and that drawing of Nick Wilde dressed up as Robin Hood you drew on your lunch break two weeks ago is STILL getting passed around and commented on and what band has an "art director" anyway?

. . . If I died tomorrow my magnum opus would be Zootopia fanart, is what I'm saying.

Zootopia, eh? I was about to say something about, "...and Star Trek?", but if this thread has taught me anything, it's to Google first, so there we have it.
(Although I would have pegged Nick as more of a Tom Paris type.) See also, and also.
