Magic Wheelchair is a nonprofit organization that makes Halloween costumes for kids in wheelchairs, making their wheelchairs part of the costume.
This is amazing.

At an Ozfest parade in Chittenango, NY I once saw a little girl whose costume was Dorothy's house, with her feet in "ruby slippers" sticking out from underneath. What made it particularly brilliant was that it really only worked with a wheelchair.
I love these. Thanks for posting.

Thank you so much for this post! I am really excited to see these; they are fantastic. I especially like Ecto-1 and the firetruck and also probably the mermaids.

Not part of Magic Wheelchair, but I will not pass up a chance to remind people of Ben Carpenter's Mad Max cosplay rig.

We used to have an old Super 8 movie of the Halloween parade in the school where my sister went to kindergarten. The highlight of the movie was the little boy in her class whose parents had built a fire truck around his wheelchair. They must have had connections in the local Volunteer Fire Department, because he was wearing a real fireman's helmet and coat, and two similarly dressed adult firemen walked alongside him. He didn't have a siren, but the lights on his truck worked!

I have to quit looking at these at work because I am legit straight-up crying at my desk. It's so good to see (especially right now) that there are awesome people out there.

I think my favourite is the dream kitchen, though I also loved Toothless. The light-up turtle was also amazing.
