Sounds sweet, but c'mon: "The Butterfly Grid?" I'm sure that name will instantly fire up the imagination of millions of hardcore 733t gamers everywhere.

Ah.

There's been some scuttlebutt connecting this to Sony's plans for the PS3. Way speculative, though.

It doesn't bypass the Internet, and it doesn't bypass Internet traffic. What it does bypass is the bottleneck of a single centrally-located server for all online users.
