This is super cute, but the existence of the tablet game: "I Can Do It – Vending Machine" makes me surprisingly angry.

From the game’s own description: “Put in the money… press the button… ta-da! I bought my own drink! No matter how many you buy, your mom and dad won’t get mad. Buy as many drinks as you want in this simulation.”

Considering they could have loaded the machine with branded drinks -- or gone whole-hog evil and hooked it up to an in-app purchase system -- it seems harmless enough to me. Better than those creepy "give Elsa a botox injection" sims.

Vending machines are incredibly useful in Deus Ex: Human Revolution for everything except, you know, vending. They're sturdy, hero-sized mobile cover, you can hurl them at walls and doors to break them down, and you can even use them to kill enemies who are really just asking for it.

I love smashing vending machines in video games. There's something so delightful about it. Speaks to the inner vandal in me.

If I wanted to look at computer-generated pop machines I'd watch Double Team.

I was all ready to be excited about this, and then I clicked the link and started looking and scrolling through the giant alphabetical list of games that had vending machines in them on the right, and of the first 200, I had only played 2 of them and one of them wasn't that good, and ... I am no longer ready to be excited about this.

Even though I do love any machine that can dispense Grog Classic.

Does the “Snaps” machine in Californium dispense Icelandic liquorice-flavoured vodka?

It makes me a little sad that it took Bethesda until their Nuka-World DLC for Fallout 4 to actually utilize the video screen at the top of the Nuka-Cola vending machines.

Search: "Shenmue"
I haven’t actually played Shenmue, but by God, it’s got a soda machine!
This guy needs to play Shenmue.

I think you've slightly misunderstood the word snaps?

Indeed.

I love this project. I half assedly started my own a few years ago of paintings in videogames, but it's only a couple dozen screenshots of paintings so far. This makes me want to pick it back up again!
