The trend seems to be to post long-awaited updates on April Fools Day so no one expects them. And so Homestar Runner has released a new Strong Bad email. YouTube version for the Flash deprived or annoyed.

Don't skip the loading countdown.

Who is that in the intro? Because it is delightful

I’m sticking with leg boats.

I wonder if that’s Very, Very Little Girl!

Between this and the MetaFilter Reader, I am really nostalgic.

I think it's strange that I've managed to pay attention to Homestar Runner for twenty years without knowing the names of the people behind it or whether they produce other art.

I'm tired of losing to Purdue, too.

Is anyone else hearing the Lily Von Shtup "Always going and coming..." in Strong Sad's little singsong at the end? Ms. Inhabitant refuses to believe that it's referencing Blazing Saddles.

I do appreciate the convenience of the Brothers Chaps' stuff being available via YouTube, but I'm damned if I'll watch a new Strongbad Email other than in Flash while wandering my mouse pointer over it the whole time!

Blue, they do stick the Easter eggs at the end of the YouTube video, but I agree it's not the same thing.

I wish leg boats were not a thing, but it seems they are.

I wonder if that’s Very, Very Little Girl!

I'm not good at guessing kids' ages, but the girl in the intro doesn't sound like someone born in 2006.

Was that in 2006! I've definitely reached the point of adulthood where I'm saying "that child is that old now? Good Lord."

This is funny to me because I was just yesterday trying to explain to someone who had never heard of Strong Bad how to form an <n> over. <m> = Very Yes joke.

I could really use some file-folder-shaped vitamins about now.

Strongbad had a live action cameo as Carl the techno wizard on the Aquabats Supershow. This is because the Brothers Chapman did a lot of art and writing for Yo Gabba Gabba, and had a network hobbled animated series, "Wander over Yonder".

Yes! Also they wrote for Aquabats Super Show, and Gravity Falls!

They also did a bunch of stuff for Disney Channel shorts called Two More Eggs. My favorite is Hot Dip, which is not 4 momz!

Contains: mineral!

Years ago when we were at peak Strong Bad somebody was redecorating the RedEye newspaper boxes that infest every neighborhood in Chicago to look like Strong Bad masks. Unfortunately I've got no pictures of an actual SB box.

I'm not sure what the Flash version runs at, but despite the simplicity of the graphics, it's pretty cool how nicely these clips scale when you up the Youtube res to full HD.

Why did no one tell me that Strong Bad still does commentary on fan costumes?!

And I'm no architect, but "the stounge" is the perfect word for that area of the house.
