Nothing in 2018 can surprise me anymore...Oh.

What in actual fuck?

I’m sorry I don’t have anything more constructive to add, but I’m just so thoroughly confused. And sad. And kinda angry? And then back to confused.

Fuck these people. He’s an old man. Don’t take advantage of the elderly. Jesus.

I am angry- and confused. Also somewhat fitting that when bad things happen to Stan Lee they sound like total b-list comic plots. Will someone accidentally ingest the blood and gain not so much power or responsibility? This is terrible; this is a horrible example of elder abuse! and yet somewhere. somewhere- Kirby is laughing.

Somewhere Kirby is always laughing.

I blame Morbius the living vampire.

Man, collectors are weird and sometimes kind of fucked up.

You know what this all means though, right? This is probably a timeline where someone clones a bunch of Stan Lees. And then, I don't know, sell them at cons? Put a few of them in a box and shake it till they start fighting?

Maybe it means Stan Lee cameos forever. Including the inevitable Disney-Marvel movies for Cosmo the Space Dog. And Butterball. And NFL SuperPro. And the Guiding Light live action crossover.

Sounds like backstory for WhiteMan.

It reminds me of all the horrible shady stuff that seemed to be happening around Harper Lee prior to her death.

A doctor was browbeating George Harrison to sign guitars when he was on his deathbed.

I don't have a lot to say about this, except that it's sad and indicative of how awful the celebrity ecosystem is; there are all these lampreys always circling, looking for vulnerable people and waiting for their chance. And, yeah, Lee may not be a prince of a fellow and the thing with Kirby and so on, but if Kirby had been the one to live this long and had no one but a child who had their own problems, they'd be going after him, too.

This is one of those weird moments when I feel grateful for being completely unknown.

Damn, world. Just when I think I’ve hit MAX on my dismay-o-meter.

Technically, you can claim it was signed by with Stan Lee...

That always comes to mind when something bad happens to Stan Lee. Stan Lee might suck, but even so, no excuse to have your weird blood ink stolen and sold without permission.

Stan Lee’s final days are almost enough to make me believe in some kind of cosmic balance.
