A tale of cops and robber from Lisa Whiteman: A thief stole her bag, met her dad, took pictures with her camera, sold it to a pawn shop, and got caught.
Thread hits a very large rock, sinks. Film at 11.
The panoramic pictures are a hoot -- banal, off-center, meaningless. Lawrence was also no Annie Liebowitz.
I like her final thoughts -- about the gravity of choosing the role and label of "victim".

Jesus, clavdivs. What a completely unnecessary dump you just took on this thread.
The link (which was a nice surprise; Lisa is a friend of mine) is worth it for the photos of her flight over eastern NC alone. Have you ever seen "pollution flowers" at a paper plant before? Beautiful stuff.

MetaTalk, by proxy.
The flowers were really neat. And kind of gross. Never heard of that before.

I thought it was a groovy link. :) The writer has a great tone of voice, she seems fairly normal (by my weird group's standards anyway...heh.), I dunno, she sounds like someone I'd hang out with. And how darn cool are her parents to pull that stunt in the middle of the night? Wow.
And speaking as someone who's been mugged and never recovered any of the stuff in my purse, and had to move to avoid my apartment getting robbed over and over again, I say, wow again. Good for her, I'm glad it all turned out ok.

I found her site through a sidebar link on CamWorld. Sometimes I get so locked in to the 10-15 webloggers I've visited forever that I miss out on great sites.

The panoramic pictures taken by Lawrence the theif are amusing to no end. Look at the poor fellow's kitchen, his friend's old sneakers. As it turns out, the life of crime is pretty boring.
I really enjoy Lisa's site, packed with good writing and beautiful photos. Such is life in the dirty, dirty south. ;)
