Cracked Magazine is back. I used to read this back in the day, but I hadn't seen it in ages. I always thought it was inferior to Mad, but I liked it anyway. Supposedly it's on shelves now. Has anyone seen a new copy?

Yes it was inferior; I can also remember "Crazy", and "Sick". I'm sure there others, but Mad reigned supreme.

I loved Cracked as a kid. I liked Mad too, but was kind of annoyed that they kept on using old material. Bridget Bardot jokes just aren't funny anymore. Cracked was alot more original when I read it (mid-80's).

Ugh, Cracked was always the poor man's Mad. They even had an Alfred E. Neuman-esque character.

They're online, though, if you've got to get your dose of "Pukey McSpew" (actual character, see here.)

I always think of the Simpsons episode where Milhouse and Bart are laffing it up over Mad and Milhouse says "They sure stick it to that Spiro Agnew guy!"

When I was little, I had an official Sylvester P. Smythe painters cap. It was awesome.

I liked how they misspelled "magazine" as "mazagine" on the cover. I didn't catch it for years.

Weekly World News is the "Cracked" for the adult generation. Damn, now I understand why it exists. For years, I've been horrified that people are buying it for the supposed news content. Now I know they're just kids in adult bodies, buying more "Cracked" mazagine. Whew!

Cracked was great complementary reading to Mad. Did not know it was back, but then again I don't read Mad anymore.

Is it in Pog form?

Cracked was always seen as an ersatz Mad, of course, but they were cool enough to pick up both Don Martin and Shawn Kerri (sadly, both geniuses now deceased).

It was pretty tight before it went down last time, I'll be interested to see what it's become.

Whattaya mean Cracked is back? You mean Cracked was gone? Yeesh, I'm seriously out of touch with my inner 13-year-old.

My best friend, Gabe, and I often debated the relative merits and flaws of Mad vs. Cracked. It was decided that though Mad was generally funnier, Cracked did have funnier satire pieces.
