Get the flock out of here

How many ducks do you think are gonna be in this video? wrong its more. (turn the sound up)

They're probably going to end up as food, but I prefer to imagine them weeding rice paddies or eating vineyard snails.

Bonus: here's another version of the song: Beva children's song: number of duck songs (number of ducks)

How many more ducks could there be? The answer is none. None more ducks.

God, I hope SWEET_JESUS_NIPPLES is right about the rice paddies. If all those duckies are just being herded to slaughter this video goes from adorable to heartbreaking.

It must be super hard to remember all of their names. I could never raise that many ducks at once

I guess that's as close as you can get to a row with that many ducks.

They'll end up as food at some point, but the various (5000, 10000, 20000, 100000-strong) "duck armies" videos seem to indicate that they are just moved from one pond / rice field to another. The downside is that the practice of moving duck flocks in Asia (by feet, trucks, boats etc.) is suspected of spreading diseases such as the avian influenza. It may be less an issue when ducks are moved over a short distance though.

I adore when there's a group of ducks at one of our ponds and they do that low grumbling like they're muttering to each other.

Soooo this is a good time as any to bring up the Kids duck song that seems popular these days where the mom sends her ducks out to play and they don't come back (until the end, DAYS LATER MOM) and I have real tears.

as a metaphor for research data management as the skill of herding data through time and cyberspace.

More seriously, though, I've had such a huge (platonic) crush on all of earth's creatures since this summer I saw some bears and caribou close up. And I feel like now I get it, because I didn't use to get what love for animals was. Sorry for the sappy. Thanks Johnny Wallfmower.

None more ducks.

I see you're working on your Dutch too. In Dutch "geen" translates to "none" and "niet" to "not", but they don't say "not any more ducks", they say "geen meer eenden". I'm constantly saying "none more this", "none more that" in my head. So when I read that it seemed oddly not out of place.

i have a handful of ducks. Got them just because my pond looked empty.

Ducks are really nice people. They are talkative and enthusiastic, and great friends for someone with depression.
