Just another weird animal thing in Australia

Combine a 3.5 meter python named Monty, a bunch of really horny cane toads and a torrential downpour. What do you get? Outback Uber.

Ugh. Cane Toads. Contender for the all time ugliest, stupidest, most useless vertebrate.

I came across two of them on a footpath in Brisbane. One had thrown up its own intestines. The other one was busy trying to fuck the ensuing mess. Mega successful as an invasive species. I guess the lesson is that all you need in life is not brains or beauty. Just a raging libido.

"The witches thought they were flying, they really did."
Click this link to see Queensland Cane Toads secreting poison like a popped zit, which apparently witches licked, and a stupid male cane toad saying "get off my back, I'm not a female". I don't know if witches really licked them, but at least in Australia, that's why they think the witches thought they were flying.

If you have time to watch that, you might want to explore more from that channel, the Curiosity Show, which is one of the best Australian things on Youtube, or anywhere. It's surreal. It has mind-reading fish and tells you how refrigerators work (it all starts with a bike pump).

If you don't have time for that, surely you have time for two and a half minutes of screaming frogs.

Would it help to imagine that Monty is only .0035 kilometers long?

I love the twitter comment someone made on the indiscriminate attractions of cane toads: "This AMAZING video reminds me of the time I found a Cane Toad trying to mate with a rotting mango in North Queensland!" Too bad they don't do that all the time. There would be fewer of them.
