The Testament of Malice

"When the rolling boulder crashes into a solid piece of terrain like a pillar or wall, the boulder sprouts two long triple-jointed clawed arms and an enormous fanged maw. The rolling boulder is in fact an elder mimic that pulls its body along with its lanky arms and attempts to shovel fleeing sisters into its mouth." Testament of Malice is a free collection of 100 traps for dungeon Hell temple crawls.

Fans of Grimtooth's Traps may feel nostalgia. Or flashbacks.

I haven't played a tabletop RPG in years, but I love reading books like this. See also the Dungeon Dozen.

I haven't thought of Grimtooth's Traps in ~ 20 years - thanks for this walk down memory lane.

Was it Grimtooth's Traps that has the 20 foot pit trap that was filled with foam, so you couldn't swim in it and you'd also drown/suffocate before your companions could get you out with a rope?

I used to have all of the Grimtooth books. I really regret giving them away many years ago...my players never understood that I got them for the humour value, not because I wanted to use them.

Grimtooth was never for playing with, it was for reading. :)
