Shoes.

Shoes. There's nothing wrong with being a heterosexual cross-dresser. There's nothing wrong with obsessively blogging about the shoes you wear each day either. Nope. Makes for a pretty interesting read though...

As the owner of a mere four pairs of shoes, I found this link while trying to grasp a tenous understanding of my wife's Marcosian fixation on footwear. I remain baffled.

I have maybe six pairs of shoes.

I, too, am baffled.

I will admit, however, that in the 80s I desired a pair of high-heeled leather boots like Prince had in Purple Rain. Thankfully I grew out of that phase.

As executive transvestite Eddie Izzard says, "If you're a woman and you fall over wearing heels, it's embarrassing ... but if you're a bloke and you fall over wearing heels, well, you have to kill yourself."

(Cake or death!)

I've got, what, three pair of shoes? Combine that with the pair of tank boots and the good Doctor's steeltoe (saved my foot in a motorcycle crash, still bears the scar where the steel can be seen, and will not be tossed so long as I shall live), a grand total of five pair footwear. Even with my irrational attachment to the Docs, I still completely fail to comprehend the largely feminine fascination with shoes.

Aren't most cross-dressers heterosexual?

The husband of a coworker of mine is an avid collector of Nike sneakers. I believe he has over 25 pair on display in their livingroom. Otherwise he seems like a fairly well adjusted individual.
