I like that he always includes the outtakes. you can see that he has mad skills at falling safely.

I love this guy. I do not understand the confidence involved in that whole falling/failing safely thing. I’d have a snapped wrist and a shattered elbow within 45 minutes. That parallel bar trick. And the “catch a flying bike” trick. 800 takes indeed.

Once in a while one of these trails guys shows up on a road or gravel bike and just destroys everything on strava. They're not only acrobats, they're incredible athletes too. Humbling.

I can't remember if I've told this story here before, but...

...I once had to call Danny MacAskill and interview him for a newspaper story (he lives/lived in my city). But when I tried to get hold of him, his phone was repeatedly off. I had contact details for one of his buddies, so I called - to learn that Danny MacAskill, daredevil bike ace, was in hospital with a broken collar bone because he'd tripped over the kerb. While walking. We're all fallible!

(I think I did eventually interview him, enlivened by considerable amounts of pain-killing drugs, which was fun...!)

I couldn't do this stuff without the bike, let alone with it.
