Well, isn’t that great? I used to write a lot of letters. Long stream of consciousness things to my girlfriends who lived far away at the time, and they’d do the same back. Getting the mail was so exciting. And they were hand-written, not typed. I should start that up again.

Joining the mefi card club was amazing for my mental health- and I hope also good for the mental health of those I write to. This kid is great!

+1 for the MeFi Card Club. I’ve been a letter writer for years, so I appreciate that a new generation is taking it up.

When I signed up, I put May down as a month to receive cards, just because and I've actually been looking forward to it for much of the past month. Of course, my April card hasn't gone out yet, something of a victim of the pandemic, but there is a post box outside the grocery store, so hopefully the next time I need milk April and May can go off together.

This is kind of a de-rail, but this is the first I've heard of the mefi card club...how does one sign up?

Information here is still good, I think. You can also search card club in MetaTalk, and a couple of posts will come up.

I signed up for SparkyButtons Covid card swap, and I'm very glad I did. I was able to order another roll of postcard stamps, so last week we sat down and wrote out a bunch of silly cards with pre-stamped postcards for the receiver to use. It is a nice reason to go out for a walk to the nearest post box.

Nthing the love for card club. It's really fun for me to get to send out some good vibes, and it encourages me to send more cards to friends and family as well.

This is a good story - thanks for sharing, PussKillian.
