Gumshoes Griffin McElroy and Deputy Russ Frushtick play L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files (Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3). Come for the comedy, stay for the VR mirror dancing.

I had only previously seen (and enjoyed) episode one, but now, episode two made me cry with laughter (in the kitchen). Three was good too but I'm going to stick with OMPHCHOMPGPRHARGHBNOMNOM

Episode 2 made me laugh so hard it was physically painful, so consider yourself warned!

I like how these videos delineate the different between playing with a video game and playing a video game. Delightful fun. Thanks!

This is my go-to video series when I'm feeling down. Griffin swallowing the shell casings and rubbing his tummy afterwards will never not be funny to me.

The VR adds so much to his reactions.

Every time Griffin did any VR driving, it was basically exactly like my driving-related anxiety dreams where nothing I do quite translates to actually driving the car.

Oh my gosh, I saw I guess the first episode or maybe just some bit of it however long ago and was delighted but complete forgot about it. Thanks for putting this back on my radar, adrianhon!

There was a weird car-sick disorientation with the game. Is VR really that hard to do simple things in a game and jittery when you're actually playing or is that in the effect of viewing it outside of a VR world?

The head never stays still when looking at something. It's always moving around by little bits. So that probably feels a bit disorienting.

When you're *in* it, it feels perfectly natural. The inertial frame of references issues, on the other hand... those don't feel so natural.

Yeah, I was cracking up but had to stop watching. I'll watch another episode tomorrow, though.
