Ah, at last a topic about which I know not one whit.

Hey, got it first try! I have a feeling future ones will not be so easy.

I'm holding out for Girdle. It's like Wordle, but for fattening foods.

First try! That was fun.

Ooh, fun!

Got it in 1 second, but while I have EXCELLENT knowledge of a certain segment of pop music (roughly 1970 through ... 1988?), my knowledge fades dramatically after that, so it'll be interesting to see how I do with anything from the last 10 or 20 years. (Extremely poorly, would be my guess.)

Thanks for sharing this, box! A nice little diversion for the day.

Sigh. Okay.

Took me two seconds (yesterday’s, that is)! I bow to the prowess of you first-second solvers.

Hurdle - track and field athlete names
Murdle - for the true-crime aficionados

I have no familiarity with most of what constitutes popular music of the last decade, so I was useless on this one. Could've been three different songs, as far as I know.

Whelp, I confess to getting it within 4 seconds even though I have never heard the song or even the title. (I have heard of the artist . . . )

Officially old, I guess.

In a more helpful vein, I will pass along Worldle, which makes you guess the name of a country from its outline. Unless you have the shape of every country in the world memorized, it is pretty hard. I think I have recognized exactly one on sight.

This actually exists

We've done "just the punchline" threads here before. That game would be fun!

Turdle - Yeah, I'm done

Finally, my intimate understanding of the Bristol Stool Chart comes in handy for something.

Firdle: For pine tree enthusiasts

Interredle: for grave robbers

Monsieurdle: only traditionally masculine French proper names

Wouldthatitweredle: identify your biggest regret today

Rumordle: guess what your friends are saying about you behind your back

Inferdle: guess what your friends are trying to say to you indirectly

Forsuredle: unwinnable but you will confidently assure people that it isn't

Assuredle: for confident people

Manuredle: like Turdle, but with livestock

Manicuredle: you nailed it

Enduredle: that thing the older members of your family do, where they sit around and talk about their various bodily ailments and personal grievances and how Maureen--you remember Maureen, Margaret's cousin? she was married to Bob , they lived over on Elm--did you know that she got corns and and her beloved dachshunds were taunted by hooligans who also stepped on her begonias on the same day and you know how hard she has worked on those begonias and that was also the anniversary of her mother's death and lord, I don't know how she survives it. Except that it's a game?

Conjuredle: Six attempts to summon a demon

Preferredle: Correctly order the people your friends/coworkers/parents like better than you

I'm pretty sure I've been playing the beta version of Insuredle with Blue Cross Blue Shield for a few months. I'm submitting the claim about four times already, so fingers crossed.

Deferredle: they'll probably get around to thinking this one up tomorrow

mr hurdy gurdy likes geography, so I showed him Worldle and he guessed today's country in three guesses.

My first guess, on the other hand, was 15,000 km away from the actual country. And I never did guess it successfully.

I think this is misguided -as a Wordle variant- for the reason that an unsuccessful guess provides no additional information about the song. Either I know it or I don't, and I may as well skip until I know it - I can't triangulate by genre, for instance.
