Indie Games Bundle for Ukraine

Hot on the heels of the Bundle for Texas Trans Kids, Itch has a Bundle for Ukraine.

Currently has over 900 items in it, a lifetime's worth of gameplay. Yes, there's probably some overlap. Drop your recommendations here! And here's a link to an earlier bundle which also had some overlap for recommendations.

Baba Is You is a great take on puzzlers, and is $15 by itself normally. Backbone is a raccoon-noir (it's a genre, dammit) themed adventure, reminiscent of old Sierra point-and-clicks. Quadrilateral Cowboy is a retro cyberpunk/hacking-themed game, and is usually $20 by itself. Lots of tabletop resources in this bundle, too! It's not just video games.

As with the last three big bundles, randombundlegame.com lets you apply more filtering options than itch.io's zero filtering options.

Yay!

I've been hoping to do some short-session rules-lite RPGing with local friends, so if anyone has recommendations in that space they're very welcome. I already see some options, but would love some takes from people who have actually tried some of these, if there's anyone in the room.

Baba Is You is a great take on puzzlers . . . Backbone is a raccoon-noir (it's a genre, dammit) themed adventure . . . Quadrilateral Cowboy is a retro cyberpunk/hacking-themed game. . .

Thirsty Sword Lesbians is a role playing game where . . . well . . . just buy the damn bundle already.

Sorting through an itch.io bundle is a great activity to do while a mandatory webinar drones on. Just sayin'.

The Trans bundle not only has Thirsty Sword Lesbians in it, but also 3 supplements. It took me an afternoon to go through that bundle, grouping entries by system, where appropriate, to figure that out. (And I didn't download a lot of it.) This one's twice as large. That's pretty daunting. I'll buy it, but I probably won't go through it until this weekend.

Dépanneur Nocturne is great. It is a nice game about buying a gift from a shop.

There's also a $5 TTRPG bundle for Ukraine here.

Oh! And I bought TAPE a few charity bundles ago, and it's been a MONUMENTALLY helpful local to-do list on my home PC. It has a learning curve but it's right in the sweet "simple but powerful" spot for me.

SkateBIRD!!!! I heard that it was a little rough on launch, but has since been patched and is a lot of fun to play now.

Solo RPG-wise, I'm looking forward to trying out Delve (map-making!), Into the Glacier, and You Cannot Kill Me in a Way That Matters.

If you got the first Avery Chase comic in the Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality, this bundle has that and issue two!

oh, holy crap, that TTRPG bundle Spike Glee pointed out includes Ultraviolet Grasslands!

I spent maybe two minutes scrolling through the included games and already saw three that are on my steam wish list. Insanely good value!

(also F Putin, F war, and my heart goes out to Ukraine)

There is some duplicates with the Texas bundle but with a couple hundred items available I'm not complaining.

Other items of note, at least to me:

Summer in Mara
We Should Talk
Sophies Safecracking Simulator
Sky Rogue
Gladiabots (I already have this one, in fact...)

A Short Hike has been in previous bundles but is well worth whatever the normal price is (I even double dipped to get it on Switch). Of the stuff I haven't seen before, Pendula Swing looks interesting.

There's also crosscode in this bundle, which is an amazing action/puzzle RPG set in an mmo.

gonner is a fun little random-level-generation shooter. (Looks like the sequel) is currently deep-discounted on steam, but I’ve no experience with it.

ynglet, like anything by Nifflas, has been a delight for me. The version in the bundle is PC-only, though, which is too bad.

Golf Peaks has been a fun puzzle game for Android so far

Wait, Skatebird got good, or at least adequate? I Kickstartered it and found the initial release to be heartbreakingly bad, given the potential of the premise

Wow, original goal was $1M, it's now raised over $3M, and the new goal is $4M.

Rogueslide is great fun.

The itch Ukraine bundle is over, but Humble Bundle has a new one out that's raised over $7M so far. More well-known games but far fewer in total.

And now Fanatical has a Ukraine Bundle too

That one is not as good, IMHO. Nothing like a "must have" in the pile, and looks like they already dropped it?
