Each day I try to put the stones in order

Luigi Lineri collects stones. “...walking across the river Adige in an ordinary afternoon it may happen to you that your eyes don’t stop at the sunset or the water flowing or your emotions but, half serious half humourous, your eyes low and mingle with that silent stone-bed in a strange dialogue between man and stone, past and present...”

Such a lovely story! And the images are stunning! So interesting that he's considering putting them all back.

Thank you for sharing this!

Looks like some are neat--most are just Leverite.

I too, have some stones--big chunks of obsidian, fist sized chunks of Bruneau jasper, garnet-studded base rock, oolith, petrified wood, 25 lb rock of transparent quartz, etc.

The kids would pick up tons of rocks. I eventually got sick of rocks under the bed, on the dining room table, in the washing machine. When they asked what they were, the answer was mostly Leverite.
Leave 'er right there where you found it.

Pareidolithomania? My jam!
Related to beach-combing obsessive from Switzerland André Quirinus Zurbriggen who has spent the last many years casting his eyes about beaches looking for stones which seem to have letters imprinted. You can write lithic messages on his server.

Pareidolithomania

ONE Google entry for this word right here...I'm interested in the literal translation of it!
