I post this to let y'all know that da share z0ne (previously) has now posted perhaps the graphic most? or least? suited for reference in MetaFilter discussion: "Thank's for the infomation / I changed my mind / I was wrong / It won't be the last time / bitch" of course accompanied by a leather-clad skeleton arcing colored energy between their hands.

I've had on and off success seeing Twitter stuff recently. On Android, no Twitter account.
It loads the text and such, and then before the image shows up there's just a full screen 'log in/sign up' kind of thing.
But only sometimes...
I'd like to see Twitter things occasionally, but not enough to sign up. Does everyone just have an account?

I am so sorry that I didn't include a link that would reliably work for people who are not logged into Twitter. Here's one using an instance of Nitter, which is a workaround Twitter viewer that doesn't require you to be logged in.
I feel like it used to be the case that any public tweet or Twitter feed/timeline would also be reliably visible to someone who is not logged in; I think in a desktop browser that is still the case but on mobile they really push you to log in and get the app.
mhoye: I am realizing that the nihilistic satires of office work that I used to enjoy in Toothpaste For Dinner are thematically resonant with the nihilistic admonitions and admissions in da share z0ne.
Oh also, I was talking with my spouse today about da share z0ne and how it consistently reuses hostile aesthetics while the words are more vulnerable or even uplifting, and Leonard pointed out that you could sort of do the reverse with Lisa Frank-type aesthetics, given that the skeleton-heavy-metal and Lisa Frank looks are both infernokrusher but gendered differently.

Nah, even on desktop Twitter only lets you scroll a few posts before they tell you to get an account. (Sometimes they'll let you read a thread, but if you scroll too far past the end it'll lock up.)

My new next door neighbor just placed a door mat that literally says, "b*tch/ dont wear/ no shoes/ in my home," with the asterisk actually printed on the door mat. I think I need to meet them to form an opinion. It is a quote that I might not understand. I'll suggest that it's a f*cking weird way to make an introduction to your neighbors. Nope, I get an infinite Retry button that says "something went wrong" and no content displays. Hitting Retry prompts another Join Twitter box.
