I felt like I was really myself out there!

Disability Inclusion Activist Molly Burke was recently on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Dispelling Misrepresentations Of Blindness [7m31s]. Much more fun, however, is Molly's own video I Was Interviewed by Trevor Noah on The Daily Show! [31m] which shows the whole process for her the day of the show. There's so much fun and humanity in that half hour, that's really the part I wanted to share the most!

Oh my! I haven't had a chance to watch these yet but I am extremely excited - this sounds like a fantastic pair of segments.

Thank you so much for posting these, hippybear! I'll be back to say more enthusiastic things once I've had a chance to enjoy them.

I started watching the behind-the-scenes video, but realized five minutes in that I needed to watch the interview to find out who is Molly Burke.

The thing I loved most about the appearance was recognizing the planning that must have gone into how she wanted to interact. As she walked in, I could see that she and Trevor had pre-planned and were also actively communicating how she would move from backstage to the desk.

His verbal “I’m reaching out to shake your hand,” was also very thoughtful. One last thing - I don’t think I’ve seen a blind character or person look directly at the person they’re talking to. That was remarkable.

Yeah, she absolutely made the right call to do the walkout and demonstrate her own stylish self -and- have Trevor model being her sighted-guide to help her up the step and to her chair. I like the bit in her video where she trained him on what to do. She’s charming.

Thanks for sharing! I've been following her for years, through ups and downs, including the arrival and recent loss of Bennix. As some with a blind brother and several blind friends, I laughed at the ending where Trevor held out his hand to shake. It happens at events all the time!

These were great. Really charming. And moving! It's so rare for me to sit through a 30min youtube video straight through, but these back to back really rewarded the attention given. Thanks, hippybear!
