Since it is the season, at least in the USA, why not take an hour to see how politics are done in Louisiana? Or at least, was done up to 1991.

I have a vague impression that the US would've been very different if Huey Long had made it to the presidency, but I'm not sure if it would've been better or worse.

clawsoon: If you've ever read It Can't Happen Here, you might have some idea. Buzz Windrip, the book's fascist ideologue who takes over the US, was based heavily on Huey Long.
