Deck of Cards. Useless? Perhaps. Cool? Depends

Flip, shuffle, sort by suit, play poker and sort. Just a deck of cards.

Deck of cards.

In your browser.

Enjoy.

This is the most deck of cards I've seen all day.

"This is the most deck of cards I've seen all day."

Yup.

I found it refreshing to find a single use thing online, - that actually was just a single use thing - done well.

Needs sound effects! Shuffling in particular is NOTHING without sound.

The link goes to /old/, which... might be the old version?
The home page doesn't do the cool tricks, but it has multiplayer!

Hmm. It's missing some of the functionality of a physical deck, such that it's not a great tool for Klondike solitaire. You can't move a whole stack of cards at once, just one card at a time, and you can't turn over just the deck to redeal.

Cool, but not as deck of cards as a deck of cards.

The original link could let someone run a blackjack game on Zoom. The instant shuffle, single deck, no card counting or card marking or bottom dealing, these usually require a casino to host.

There's a github repo, so maybe I'll play with that and see how flexible it is. I can imagine using this to create or support little homegrown games that leverage card decks. Though, I guess at that point I could just code it up myself. Potentially saving time on the styling and animations would be nice, though.

Is there a good way to do a card trick with this?

Click all four kings without clicking any other cards in between.

I made the whole deck disappear.

I clicked on the x in the upper right corner.

This feels like a relic from an earlier era of internet
