Geddy Lee's Effin' Life live on stage

In Live at Massey Hall: Geddy Lee [55m, CBC], Geddy spends some time talking to his old friend Alex, and then reads a bit from his book. If you like this kind of thing, maybe you'll like this example of this kind of thing.

I have his book on hold at the library. Huge wait list for it. I love how he set up this tour, with a different secret surprise guest-moderator at each stop. It seems like it must have been a fun evening.

Hippybear - just a generic shout out to you for the really great stuff you have been finding and posting lately.

Geddy's book is a worthwhile read. He's of course uncommonly thoughtful for "a rock guy", and it's much more about humanity than anything puerile or scandalous.

So far the book is great. He’s a talented writer. Was not expecting the deep dive and family Holocaust history but it was really moving. I’m just now at the high school band stuff.

I've been listening to the audiobook and loving the behind the scenes view of the music industry and how touring works (or doesn't). He's a really great storyteller.

I enjoyed the book very much. I don't think he's as good a writer as Neil eventually became, but he did write about Rush (along with the rest of his life) rather than just whatever was on his mind, which was Neil's kind of thing. So that was fun.

If you have Spotify, his audiobook (read by him) is available there. I've been listening to it, but only when I go outside for a walk, to incentivize my walks.

Listening to effin' Geddy Lee narrate his own effin' audiobook is a delight. On numerous occasions I have found myself laughing out loud whilst on the elliptical at the gym.

> laughing out loud

With fear and hope, presumably? And maybe a desperate plan?
