Claire Rousay has gained prominence [NYT, archive link] as an experimental, ambient musician, but her most recent album, Sentiment, [Bandcamp, Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music] is closer to lo-fi indie pop. Her website has links to her whole discography.

I like the approach of putting in found sound that's unexplained, and doesn't have to be. Great quote in the Creative Independent article (the fourth link):

".. everybody should have something in their life that’s just for them. You’re an individual. You live your life, nobody else does. So having stuff that’s just for you that nobody else can access is important, I think."

No, I had no idea about that. I made the post because I stumbled into Rousay’s show last summer where she played songs from this album. The music had really stuck with me so I was excited when I saw that Sentiment had been released.

Having looked up the drama, it seems like a former writer for the Fader got obsessed with Rousay, started stalking her, and had a very public meltdown.
