The treasures of the sea. A fascinating look at underwater archeological sites in France. The Cosquer Cave is particularly enthralling due to the art and the difficulty in getting to it. (warning - annoying frames and popup info boxes that don't work so well in Mozilla) [More inside...]

I've always been interested in archeology in general, but underwater archeology, especially of ships, is simply fascinating to me. There are so many things we don't know about ships, trade and travel from eras as recently as 300 years ago (ex: will the real pinnace (1,2) please stand up?). Simply amazing.
