... In other news today, San Francisco non-profit organization serving the lesbian community has offered to buy controlling interest in Amazon.com. The chair of the organization, amazon.org, was quoted as saying "Dot org domains are for losers."

Had me going until I read this:

"We were seriously considering assigning a name in the ".gov" domain based on the current rate that your corporation is losing money. "

HAHAHAHA!!!! Shareholders would FREAK if they read this!!!

Bezos has been telling a variant of this himself for at least two months or so... His goes that the name of the company should be amazon.org, since clearly they're non-profit...
