Only checked the maps link but am surely wondering, in my biologically ignorant (but sweet) way why the private parts are so much smaller than the hands.

I had the same thought, bill. The (completely uninformed) conclusion I drew is that since these are drawn relative to the size of corresponding areas in the cortex, the genital sensory apparatus must be wired to some "deeper" neural systems. Which would make sense, given the reflexive nature of sexual response.

Yes, there's a different map of sensory nerve density that is similar but, in some predictable respects, quite different.

But in both, the tongue is gigantemous. The tongue has a higher sensory nerve density than the clitoris, I think.
