[this is good]

Hm. Lib is still the best. Talib Kweli still needs to learn that less is more, and that 18 sixteenth notes won't fit in a bar.

As linked to on the Rappcats site, here is a funny/scary Man Parrish video.

Haven't listened to the album as yet.

Damn. Nice!

God I love Kweli. Any number of notes that he sees fit to shoehorn into a single bar is OK with me. Thanks, Tlogmer.

Awesome. This is the first post in a long time I've thought realy counts as "best of the web" b/c it's awesome, and it's sometrhing that couldn't happen without the web. 3 cheers for generous musicians and the technology that lets them give us music.

Suggestion: get track 2 ("Funny Money") going on your iTunes or whatever, then open this on top of it. (Quicktime audio: "Hollerin & Whoopin", from the FPP I just posted above this one.) Shit works.

Am I missing something, or is this free 10 track album 9 tracks?

Also, this is awesome.

Talib Kweli still needs to learn that less is more, and that 18 sixteenth notes won't fit in a bar.

This doesn't make sense to me. If there are 18 sixteenth notes then they do fit into a bar...of 5/4. If there's 18 notes in a 4/4 bar then he's not singing sixteenth notes.
/nitpick

This is awesome, thanks!

of course it would be 5/4 if there were 20 sixteenth notes...i'll just go away now.

Mmm, delicious Madlib (and Mr. T. Kweli, who I missed seeing open for The Roots because he was literally ill).

People who haven't should definitely check out his collaboration with MF Doom, Madvillainy.

To add on sparkletone's comment, people should also check out the "Madvillainy preview" that was leaked to P2P a little while before the real release. It's first drafts of some of the tracks, and there are a few different instrumentals in there. I like it better than the real thing.

Hey, check Kweli's New Year's message. I definitely agree, we should all read more!

Fuck I got a 404 message!! Anyone know someplace else I can get it?
