Sunday sillibiz: Snackimals, really fancy fashions for dogs, RubikCubism, hairstyle names from 1970s Ebony ad, burquas for men, fetish dollies [nsfw], Art Car Museum, the hideaway cosy, baby tiger cub sleeps and plays. [via]
burquas for men look like what ku klux klan would be wearing if it were gay men's club: very stylish.

Awesome, but what in the hell do any of these have to do with each other?

They're silly, as in lacking seriousness. :)

The comments in that hairstyles post get pretty odd. Thanks for all of this nickyskye.

What fun links, nickyskye - thanks! Thise art cars are fabulous, I love the wrought iron VW bug (#11). And that snackimals should put me off snacking for the day!
Here's another silly find, apparently a real product.

That ebony ad reminds me of those painted African haircutting signs that I used to see for sale in SoHo in the late 80's. Do you remember what I am talking about nickyskye? I always wanted one of those.

mjjj, I so love that Tiddy Bear gizmo!
Honest, vronsky, I have no idea what you're talking about. Wish I did though. Googled African hair sign and came up with this cool one from Togo, Ghana and Benin. Is that what you mean?

That's it nickyskye! I used to see those for sale in soho galleries all the time (I lived on Mercer) anywhere from 300 to several thousand dollars depending on size and condition. Some were quite large. The Ghana and Benin ones are closest to what I remember.
Cool post as always. Thanks.

Oh cool vronsky. :) I sold African art briefly at the Wooster Street open market in the late 80's. Wonder if we met? (don't have yr email or I would have written that privately).

Probably! I went there frequently especially when my sister would visit. She loves art markets like that. Long time ago though, and I am lucky if I remember what happened last week.
