Wrongwaycomeback? Is Wetlog really going away? Neale has been a prankster in the past, but with his recent re-styling as a memory bank and the tone of the message, I worry about one of my favorite blogs. Someone say it ain't so.
Yeah, neale's tired of doing it, so he's taking time off. Everyone needs a vacation sometimes I guess.

Thanks for the info. If I were remotely non-thumb-in-ass, I would have checked the page source myself and saved the thread space. Hope Neale recharges while he's off juggling dingoes or whatever.

If he's going on vacation why take the whole site down? Why not leave up what's already there and just stop updating it? Guess I'll never get to read anymore of the interviews he had up there. And I had only looked at one so far. Ohh well.

Conspiracy theory.
Nealsie is hosted on Mathowie's webserver. I won't go into any details, but I know for a fact that this hasn't been a picture perfect relationship. Eyes have been blackened. Packages have been delivered. Occupied office chairs have toppled from the tops of towering buildings.
Nealio arbitrarily decides to "take some time off".
Mathowie convienently supports this decision publicly on metafilter (see above). Something is askew. Go back and re-read Mathowie's post. It is almost like he is reinforcing some "rehearsed agreement" between he and Neale. Tone is hard to judge in print, but the message is clear. There is a calculated, suggestive, and threatening tone in that post.
Then Neale reluctantly confirms Mathowies assertion. Re-read Neale's post. It reads like someone tied to a chair with a phone and a gun held against his check. This is a portent of further evil. It stinks to high hell and you heard it from me first.
