That father sounded like a total douche.

I tried figuring out when the 'Can I Sit With You' bit would start, but the writing was chatty and directionless. Perhaps the father who committed suicide would have been happier if he had read more EB White or William Strunk.

Hi, do you want to become friends?

I thought they were interesting stories, associated with a good cause. As a pariah in middle school (because I was more into The Cure rather than Kiss, if you can believe it), I could have used a book like that.

Great post konolia. Interesting idea to collect school stories. That was a particularly poignant and in the end uplifting story. Thanks so much.

He didn't write it, but don't let that get in the way of your hilarious snark or anything.

Good post, konolia...thank you.

My 8 year old is bright, overly sensitive, different and craves attention. The proto-bullies of the second grade are just figuring out that he is the perfect target. Tales of childhood cruelty just break my heart.
