That's umbelievable this is the first time this thing get a Metafilter's FPP: I've probably read about it ten years ago for the first time, and then forgot it's existence completely.

Not the right time to became popular, anyway: you know who else used the smiley faces?
I guess this might be the smoking gun to justify the invasion operation freedom in the Empire.

Aid packages will include health advice about your cats, moderately entertaining youtube videos, and sci-fi short stories you'll vaguely recognize from the 10th grade.

Seriously? we're doing micronations now? I've been a part of a (relatively) prominent micronation for more than a decade, founded one more than twenty years ago, and even *I*'m not posting about one.
