Oh I love the mugumogu cat series. They are all adorable. I was saving this for caturday but you know, we need this today. That is one silly cat. mugumogu performance art hat thing, mugumogu loves sliding.

The cat video was actually mentioned in, of all places, this thread.

Still funny.

I don't care how upbeat that music is. Until the girl's head finally pops back into view, the idea of being jammed horizontally into that tiny space gives me vicarious claustrophobic fits.

What's up with that music during the vending machine one?

I'm not showing the vending machine video to my two-year-old. He'd actually try to duplicate it.

Love the part where she gets onto the animals and chills for a bit. Reminds me of something out of a softer world: "I hate living with you mom and dad. but now. I found a better place."

That vending machine video rules. Those things are such a friggin' ripoff. I bet there are ones that still have the same toys they did when I was a kid.

Damn that song on the vending machine one is hideous.

I just watched that cat video on another site, then refreshed MeFi and here it is.

That said, kitty deserves a spot on the Japanese luge team if they have one.

Stuck?! She wasnt stuck at all. She was playing. Personally I would have encouraged her to frolic with all the toys whilst filming her. Then the manager would come and freak out, call the fire department, and the child would have an overload of laughing excitement as they tried to extricate her. Success! One crashed out happy child on the ride home and years of video fun/embarrassment.

she didn't pull a toy out with her? also, i kind of wanted to see the other kid put a quarter in, and grab her with the claw.

I like when the worker teen comes up and decides to clean the front-door glass rather than get the kid out of the machine.

someone: excuse me, ma'am, but your child seems to be stuck inside the claw toy machine.

mom: fuck. and i'm all out of quarters, too.

You ever wonder if animals experience pleasure? This cat does.

And a girl getting into a vending machine.

A young Irma Vep finds her calling.

Set down the milkshake fatty and show a sense of urgency. That's your kid in there!

I thought the worker kid was going to wrap his hand in the paper towels and bash in the glass. That's what I would have done, but then I'm the heroic type.

Whenever anyone in the future asks me who my heroes are, I will have one and only one answer. Spawned today, with the watching of this video, the entirety of my philosophy on life and what it can be at its best is embodied in the two-year-old girl who just climbed the fuck right into the big choice machine.

That girl will live a good life. Mark my words.

I like how the other kid tells his mom that there's a girl in the machine, and she totally brushes him off, and he has to say "NO REALLY" and she's all like, "oh fine let me show you there is no one OMG THERE IS A FOOT IN THE MACHINE!"

Still there for me. Maybe YouTube is acting up. Sometimes it lies about why a video is not available.

I love that he's such a chubsy wubsy puddy tat and the cardboard says "Diet" and he gets stuck in it. aww. With his feet all splayed out. This mugumogu is a cat having fun. Check out mugumogu's facial expressions playing handsies. The finger one is cute too.

That teen worker with paper towels looked like he thinking: "Not this crap again, I"ll just go over here and look busy before they ask me to help"

I was in Pattaya, Thailand, on an exchange program. The other Canadians and I had just finished visiting the Ripley's Believe it or Not museum in the mall, and were waiting for our hosts to pick us up and bring us to the next thing on our trip (which was some kind of war memorial). We hit the arcade, and there's a whole bunch of these claw-grabber-toy boxes lined up along the wall.

I work on one for a while - gave it two or three tries. The back of the box had a mirror so you could see your own frustration with the unresponsiveness of the claw. Finally, I snatched up some stuffed animal, not because it was what I wanted but because it was the only thing I could actually get.

As I raise the claw in triumph, toy dangling but secure, the mirror behind the box slides away. A boy, maybe 6 or 7 years old, stands on the other side. He smiles at me, reaches into the box, and bats the toy out of the claw. The mirror slides back and he's gone.

If you ever find yourself in the Royal Garden Plaza in Pattaya, win one claw toy for me.

Round-face cats seem to be much more popular in Japan than elsewhere. They tend be determined goofs.

PS Thanks for the real bellylaugh with the kid in the toy vending machine. Amazing vid. Glad it was a happy ending.

"The finger one is cute too."

You could play that game with my cat, but only ten times.

Then you'd be all out of fingers.

I wonder what she says that makes the woman on the left laugh so much at the end?
