No, not agreed. A slave is a human being who is legally someone's property. The practice of forcing people to work through fraud or threat of violence for no pay beyond subsistence is atrocious, and has no place in a civilised society, but if you call it slavery you leave yourself with nothing to say to the local government when they introduce actual slavery and put the resources of the state behind it. If anyone who has to work for subsistence pay is a slave, Lincoln didn't abolish anything, he merely tinkered with some trivial legal niceties.
