Any info about the folks who made it?
Looks like it was Core Matrix, a little multimedia group out of Toronto who hasn't been heard from since sometime in 2008. Hm.

At the beginning it seems to be making direct references to Bitey of Brakenwood, but is it homage or rip off?

The intro music (in the first few seconds with the butterfly) reminds me of the Philip Glass score to Candyman.
The teaparty scene verges into saladfingers creepiness.
