I Spy a Peek-a-fail!

Animals often fail at games.

And then occasionally win:

At Fetch (previously)
and Peek-a-boo.

There are no documented cases of I Spy success by non-human animals...of which I'm aware.

The OP is spot on. I once beat a Cocker Spaniel at Jenga. True story.

I am not flagging this because the bird is just so cute. I will show this to my Quaker parrot though, who will ignore it. Not enough sunflower seeds. Nothing personal.

I don't get why Andy's owner wasn't laughing his ass off.

dammit, I borked the last link for peek-a-boo... it's another indian ringneck though.

My (Hyperactive but entertaining) Vizsla likes to play a game I call "Buzzing the Tower": He'll run around the yard full bore, and run right at you, and just miss as he goes by at like 400 miles an hour. You can practically hear him laugh like Maverick as he does it, too.

I love watching him to do it, it seems like a lot of fun.

Okay, you got me. Please stop now. That's too cute.

Dammit, don't post videos like these. They really make me want to get a puppy, but I don't have money and I am very irresponsible.

...Although, a baby German Shepard could help me do my laundry, which would make me very responsible.

It's Splunge. And now I have to go test my blood sugar. That kind of stuff just kills me.

Splunge, okay?

Old Turkey? ;)

My boxer can beat me at tug-of-war. But I always win at Scrabble.

the last peekaboo, where the bird sings the last syllable, is so damn cute.

This is exactly the sort of FPP I needed after realizing it was 5AM.

What you don't realize about the Fetch Fail is that the dog is actually playing Keepaway for the Epic Win.

If it weren't for the slaughter rule, he'd never bring the toy back at all.

I had not seen the fetch machine before. I would so be building one of those right now if I had a dog.

I want an Andy.

Man, I wish I could keep my dog as easily entertained as Andy there. He loves the squeaky balls just as much, but it's like pulling teeth to get him to bring it back. It's not that he doesn't like chasing the ball, it's just that he likes eating them more. We've had to settle for playing keep-away instead of fetch. Two humans play catch and he acts like a ball retriever that only works if you yell at him in just the right way.

I was surprisingly amused by that first video. Once I saw the conceit, I thought it was going to be dumb, but somehow it charmed me.

Happy dogs make me happy. Their joy is infectious.

I must now add peekaboo parrots to that set of 'animals enjoying themselves so much it makes me happy'

They're rubbish, aren't they? I have to spot my dog my queen's knight before he even comes close in Chess.
