Could someone explain the "S is for Science, though the cake is a lie" to me?

My gentleman caller will be so proud I know this one. It's a reference to the game Portal.

Portal, Think_Long, which is free.

The Cake Is A Lie from Knowyourmeme.com.

(one of the best repositories of explanations of strange online things out there -- worth knowing in and of itself.)

I like how Frobisher appears to have sneaked into the Doctors' group photo. That rascal.

I'm sitting here with a scheme book open in from of me, so

Also, if Portal is free, does that retroactively make *cough* anyone's previous download and running of same under Wine kosher?

Might as well get a Steam account with Portal credited to it.

If they're going to put lisp in for P, shouldn't it be "P is for 'paren'" ?

Geek alphabet?
Nah, this is less geek and more dork.
And it's not really the Dork Alphabet.
More like a.

Beg to differ, humannaire, I'm pretty sure that's geeky.

Not to be confused, of course, with the nerdy alphabet.

Holy shit! My photo was used for the letter A! God this feels so weird.

Now I want to do a geek alphabet that would actually, y'know, be useful for teaching the alphabet to children. Rather than a self-indulgent method for showing just how adorkable one is.
