It reads just like a conversation with older relatives - gypsies, hoodies, asylum seekers, change here for teenagers, mind the gap.
I didn't find political correctness gone mad but maybe that's a nation rail station. Fantastic.

Shinybaum: 'PC Brigade' in place of 'Golders Green' (Northern Line)
This is hilarious.

Kudos to B3TA and thepoke.co.uk for this BTW. (We should "via" these things)

Hilarity did indeed ensue.
Bit strange though - I can't find Global Warming. Closest things would probably be "Energy Saving Bulbs" and "Wind Turbines". I would think global warming is something they'd fear. Or deny. Or whatevers.

The Daily Mail always reminds me of the Watchmen film.
You know, the bit at the end where the paper needs some filler, so the journalist/editor turns to the young dogsbody and tells him to grab something from the crank file?
It's as if that's the entire paper, but instead of a healthy dose of scepticism, it's printed as gospel so that you know what to think on important issues.
"Burka wearing militant Islamic feminists threaten our way of life by forcing Gordon Ramsay to cook only ethically sourced roast beef at the wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William, even though it has been proven by science to cause cancer"

Quite amusing, although I'm glad I don't read enough of the Mail to get some of the references.

proven by science to cause cancer
That should probably be: "could cause cancer," scientists say.

seanyboy: fair point: the link goes to a page at www.thepoke.co.uk but I'd pressed the post button before linking to the relevant post. However, I didn't find out about it via B3TA so I'm not going to, and wouldn't know to, give them kudos.

The Daily Mail Song is great, as is the Daily Mail-O-Matic. Maybe we should gather all these links together and make a new FPP out of 'em?

All those links are great.
First headline on the Daily Mail o Matic:
"Will the metric system ruin homeowners?"
Brilliant.
