Hw can I transfer Mp3's from my Ipod to an external hard drive?

I have a 60gig Photo Ipod. In order to keep my computer's hardrive relative clean, I do not keep my MP3's stored in the Itunes library. All 9500 are strictly on my IPOD. I know I run the ris of losing all that upload work should my ipod get lost or break, but it was by choice. I recently bought a 250 gig external hard drive for the sole purpose of keeping all of my MP3's and important computer files on there....What I want to do and havent been able to figure out is, how could I go about transferring all the MP3 files from my IPOD to my computer and then to the external drive. (more inside)

I need to learn basic to fairly advanced Math and English and I'm somewhat of a rookie who is taking action. Help!!

I'm looking to rebuild my mathematics skills from the ground up so that I have proper habits. I'm looking to start from the basics and go straight up to calculus. Math was a subject in which I didn't pay as much attention to as I wish that I had and am looking to find the best sources of information on the subject. I also would love software that would drill me kind of like speed reading software but for math.

Fellow Web Designers - do you know of any places for good web design critique?

I'm a professional web designer looking for forums or websites where I can get constructive feedback on my designs from other web designers. Ideally a place that will critique Photoshop designs, as well as finished html sites, would be brilliant! Any suggestions would be very appreciated :)

reclaiming the marital entertainment space--surprisingly, not a reference to sex!

Ok, so I have been charged with coming up with a list of things to do at home with my wife in the evenings after the kids are in bed, because we are too broke to hire a sitter and go out right now. What are some fun things we could do at home with our clothes on that aren't too expensive or unhealthy, in a couple of hours?

How to get full RSS instead of partial RSS

Help me get full RSS instead of partial RSS. As many of you might know, the Freakonomics blog has moved to NY Times. They used to give full RSS feeds; now all we get is partial RSS. While this generated quite a buzz on the internets, no solution was provided.

Oh Noes! The dreaded #REF error!

In the world of conversation killers, talking about Excel to the average person ranks up there with the best. At the same time, there is always a chance that you wish you could have that conversation at work when it gets down to the wire. Even as a pro, you might need that brush up on Array Functions, calculation tricks, VBA examples or some examples from one of the well known authors on Excel. There is also no shortage of people who dedicate their working lives to this arcane program and are more than willing to assist others for free by posting solved issues on their websites. People like David McRitchie, OzGrid, Rob Bovey, Ron de Bruin, John Walkenbach, Dick Kusleika, Joseph Rubin and Chip Pearson.

Or if you just want to be a Debbie Downer at the next party, just take page from any of the following, memorize it. and recite it when faced with that nudge you don't want to talk to: Excel Support, Jon Peltier, Colo's Junk Room, Scriptorium, Andrew's Excel Tips, Andy Pope, Anthony's VBA Page, Rodney Powell, Array Formulas, Erlandsen Data Consulting, Excel-it, ExcelUser, JKP's Excel Page, John Lacher, McGimpsey, Bill Jelen, Stephen Bullen, Tushar Mehta, VBusers.com, The Excel Nexus, The Excel Logic Page, and Anthoney Does Excel. It’s a fast and easy way to ward off lounge lizards.

Graphic design and/or photoshop question

Graphic design and/or photoshop question. I'm designing a T-shirt, and I need to prepare/convert a photo I have of a car so that it is more T-shirt-ish. What I mean is, the photo is, well, photorealistic. Cars on shirts are usually sort of cartoony. Though I don't want to mess with the dimensions of the car and make it squished and bouncy looking. I just need the car to be less colors, or outlined, or ... something. I can't even really describe what I mean. Take a look at these images of T-shirts.

Got the whole world in your hands

Have you played with Google Earth recently? You can track flights live and in 3-D, or watch an animation of global cloud cover over the last 10 days, or simply make Google Earth prettier using NASA images. Google Earth isn't limited to the current, you can also enable historical maps from the 1700s, and view an animation that will show you what will happen in the future to New York and San Francisco if the sea levels rise. Google Earth can also shed light on previous MeFi discussions, from the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald (and, indeed many other ship wrecks) to the discussion over America's top 150 buildings, now in all of their 3-D glory.

Leave the Guns, Bring the Nolli

The Nolli Plan. In 1748, Giambattista Nolli drew one of the most detailed and accurate maps ever created for the city of Rome. Improving on the Buffalini Plan of 1551 [interactive link to zoom], Nolli’s plan was drawn to an incredible precision, going as far as revealing public interior spaces in a stark figure-ground relationship. The Interactive Nolli Map allows you to overlap transparencies of the modern city to see how little has changed and how precise Nolli’s measurements were. Piranesi’s maps – however fanciful- were also inspired by Nolli’s achievements.
