Google StreetView For The Ocean

The Catlin Seaview Survey is using panoramic cameras to take interactive photographic journeys of the world's most spectacular (and endangered) oceanic environments, starting with Australia's Great Barrier Reef.

Wow that's cool. I can't wait until the day we can have HD webcams streaming from the reef at all times. I would watch it obsessively.

I wish they would zoom on the mouse wheel, like other widely-publicised spherical photo viewers web pages. But hey, it's Australia, without risk of box jellyfish! w00t!
