Love the Iron Chef? Be the Iron Chef! Some fan has reverse engineered selected Iron Chef recipes and put them on a site. As a frequently terrified fan of the show, I find them fascinating. Veal Stew Cheese Sauce, anyone? No?

Hmm... maybe I'm weird, but I don't really watch Iron Chef for the food. It comes out as... well... food is suppose to come out. I don't know much about it. I like the puns and punches and weirdness factors and all that. Perhaps they should try to cater toward that some more. You know, have people hit with folding chairs and make the iron chef light his own fart. Some promiscuous girls in skimpy clothing wouldn't hurt either. But then what do I know? I'm not a tv executive with 30 years of real world experience.

My wife and I had an Iron Chef style party. Each person who came had to make a dish using a theme ingredient we chose. We chose snow peas, and it was a lot of fun. Sadly, the episode we watched at the party was the Morimoto vs. Bobby Flay, and it sucked.

This link was recently posted in another thread. It does deserve wider exposure (that's why I posted it on my own site earlier this week), but tamim and lnicole should definitely get their props!

Well, yeah. I should have done a more thorough look-around before posting (MeFi search timed out, and I didn't see it on the Google search). Others have blogged it (including Fark, ferGodssake) as well, so this isn't nearly as gee-whiz as I let myself believe.

It's all good. :) Especially when it's food.

I will challenge Sakai and defeat him through the power of my flagellated Skot roast.

For more reverse-engineered recipe fun, check out Top Secret Recipes for homemade versions of fast food and scary packaged snacks (mentioned on MeFi long ago).
