Actually, that's unfair. My wife and I like maybe 1/10 of the shorts. Like the cats part was hilarious. posted by DU at 10:05 AM on February 21

The U Household children and I apparently have very, very similar tastes in humor.
The post-credits doctor bit really tickled me too. Like lots more than it should have. posted by MCMikeNamara at 10:40 AM on February 21
Hey, not all cartoony things with stick figures and non-meaningful four-letter names can be XKCD. (Or SMBC, even though that one's an actual acronym) But you'd think that with almost a year between 2-minute movies, he'd have collected better material. posted by oneswellfoop at 10:55 AM on February 21 [1 favorite]

It's interesting how much this recapitulates pre-war animation styles, before the "cartoon" became defined by e.g. Merrie Melodies. I watch a lot of old films and one of the neat things on DVDs are out-of-copyright shorts included as extras. They're not all great, but it's interesting to see a whole "card" so to speak in one sitting. posted by dhartung at 3:13 PM on February 21

that was okay, oneswellfoop, but asdf is a thing. It's like Monty Python for some kids today. Drop a line (examples "I like trains", "Hello, parking meter!", "No, Llama, no!") and see what happens. posted by scruss at 9:25 AM on February 23
