Mustang Wanted likes to climb tall things, walk on them and occasionally hang off them. (Also trains)

As someone afraid of heights, those pictures in Moscow made me feel really queasy.

I loved the documentary Jeff Bridges made about this guy.

As a rock climber, I hate watching stuff like this. When my friends want to solo climb (even if it's REALLY, REALLY, REALLY easy) I turn away and go somewhere I can't see.

Don't worry, it's short.

If a crazy motherfucker slips off a crane that he's balancing on for no good reason, and the crane is 215 feet above the perfectly good ground he could have been standing on, how long until the crazy motherfucker ruins his chances of being useful in life, even as an organ donor?

Reads FPP, thinks "whaaaat? A climbing horse? That's crazy!"

Imagine my disappointment.

It gives me the creeps, I could look at only four photos.
Why?....oh why? oh why?!

These all could be the first 20 seconds of an episode of Six Feet Under

sebastienbailard that is totally similar except that the basketball goal needed to be 200 meters high and the cat needed to hang from the hoop by one claw a few times before making his descent.

Epinephrine is a hell of a drug.

In my day they called it adrenaline. Of course it's all purer nowadays and the penalty for getting caught is a lot harsher.

(Do I have to wait for the obituary to point out that the enabling *expletive deleted* with the video cam should be blamed for his death?)

I tried watching several of them but didn't make it much past 30 seconds before vertigo hit. I'm dizzy and need to lay down now.

Oddly, the 'them' link requires an age check login from Google/YT, yet seems no different heart attack wise from the others.

I made it about 30 seconds into the "watch" video.

(I, too, thought this would be about a horse)

I've always looked at this kind of thing as "Avoidable Death".
I must say, however, that I loved one of the comments: "I can do that, hold my beer!"

Hmm, I have plenty of respect for people who free solo (and there's also a sort of scrappy appeal to urban climbing / parkour, quite like skateboarders reclaiming public space), but generally goofing around while doing it is probably unwise. Not that I saw anything more dangerous than, say Alex Honnold does regularly...

I never know whether they love life so much they want a rush to experience it to the max, or that they just don't respect it enough to take fewer risks to be able to experience it longer.

secretely though, I've always wanted to climb the top of a bridge myself

Perhaps Cirq du Soleil will find something useful for him to do. Something with more style and better music.

Wow. Some people have no sense of humor. I emailed the Mustang wanted link to my wife. She just came in here, yelled idiot and kicked my leg so hard I don't know if I will be able to play tomorrow. Tennis.
