Man, when I see something like this all I can think is what a treat it must have been for the contest winner, Matthew Hodge -- like, you agonize over a silly little filking project for a few hours, and send it off into the Internet void, and suddenly an entire choir of accomplished singers is bringing it to life on YouTube.

Good for him, seriously.

The best piece of parenting advice I ever got from my own mother was, don't ask the question if you don't want to know the answer.

I love how many of those singers have just the slightest tiny twitch at the corner of their mouth, like they're trying so hard not to bust straight out laughing.

That's wonderful.

Speaking of O Fortuna, misheard lyrics for the original.

The winner's prosody leaves something to be desired.

Speaking of Carmina Burana, I recently found on YT the full version of that wild 1975 European Television production, which took me quite by surprise when I saw it on CBC-TV in my youth...

Amazing! A parenting related post where we made it at least five comments without someone saying, "this is why I'm glad I'm not a parent"!

That was hilarious. Brilliant!

I love how many of those singers have just the slightest tiny twitch at the corner of their mouth, like they're trying so hard not to bust straight out laughing.

I want to see the blooper reel.
