Tintype Type Celebrity Portraits

Celebrity portraits that look like old tintype photos. Yes, its a mindless, silly post with old timey looking photos of celebs, but its all that I can manage this week.

Struck by comparison between monumental / craggy / silly face-framing male poses and the pin-up body-ody-ody moves from some of the women. Latter far less interesting to me. I want the close ups!

Oh, and Robert Redford looks like a hillside.

Tintype Type Celebrity Portraits
look like old tintype photos

The way this post is phrased makes it seem like people think this is a photoshop trick. They are actual tintype photos. Here's a behind the scenes video that shows some of the process she uses to make the photos.

Oh, I love these so much.

doornoise, some of the women's portraits are like that for sure, but not all of them.

Curiously, every photo of Sam Elliott turns into a tintype when taken, regardless of the camera used.

In a related note six of the men are -- 100% respectfully speaking -- Old As Fuck (where OAF = 60+), with one more, Richard Kind, just under the wire. None of the women top 54. So traditional Hollywood sexist ageism rears its old-timey emulsified head once again.
