18? He's a little old for Youtube amazement. "Watch this 3-Year Old Conduct The Berlin Philharmonic" or "Housecat nails YYZ" are his competition.

Well, I thought it was pretty cool. Don't have time to fall down a Floyd-hole at work this morning, but I skipped through it and he definitely nails all the beats, and the look of the video. Good stuff!

I think it's especially hard to multi-track yourself without headphones on, and I didn't notice any.
Wonder which part he laid down first.

Well done.

He wasn't even born yet when I first lost my shit to this song in a dorm room 23 years ago.

Holy shit he plays it well, it sounds almost exactly like the original. It's not just the playing, it's the music production. His YouTube description goes in to how he did it. And then the video. He made all that himself. It's quite clever in the way it recalls the Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii visuals without just redoing it.

Echoes is one of my favorite bits of music ever, but I'm left wondering, wow, an 18 year old playing such ancient prog rock? Is he a historian or something? He sure does deliver though.

Oh man, he even has Nick Mason's butterfly shirt. No pornstache or headband though, he's got more of a cleancut thing going on.

Nick Mason approves and promotes.

I never think of Pink Floyd as prog rock, although I guess you could call it that, at least some of their material. I Can't really unleash a list of rules for this, but "art rock" seems more apt to me for Echoes etc.

"Eighteen year old plays Pink Floyd's Echoes. By himself."

/pushes the play button on his music player

Well that was impressive. It's impossible to actually sound like Pink Floyd but he did as well as could hoped for I think. Nice work.

I'm sure it's impressive and great and I love that Nick Mason approves, but can somebody tell the feckers at Warner to not block this video because they seem to think they own the music in this?

You weren't even born yet when us geezers first lost our shit to this song in our dorm rooms 45 years ago.

"This video contains content from Warner Chappell, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds. Sorry about that."

Lots of other Pink Floyd covers are available, only not this one :-(
