This is great fun. The combination of silliness and detailed knowledge is delightful. For reasons I cannot explain, palladium make me laugh out loud in a way that probably annoyed people across the hall. Thanks!

Also, today I learned the flevorium is an element.

Yttrium definitely made me laugh. A couple were cop-outs but most of them were pretty adorable.

For no good reason I came up with one for magnesium:

A laptop chassis
Made from this snow-light alloy
Boasts, damn I'm classy!

You're getting ahead of yourself. We have Flerovium 114Fl. But Flevorium 120Fv will not be discovered at the Instituut voor Verpletterende Fysica IVF in Lelystad until 2032

I attended an arts high school, and one of our chemistry projects was to create/present a chemistry concept using our chosen artistic medium. As a musician I wrote a song about the elements, we had paintings and dances, and I'm sure there was a Literature Kid who wrote poetry about electrons. This was an absolute delight to read today, and a surprising trip down nostalgia lane.

My comment when I posted elsewhere last week:
