It's been a long difficult week. Do you need to laugh? Matteo Lane: Hair Plugs & Heartache [47m] is a stand-up set released last month. It's queer comedy with adult ideas and language. It's also, I think, very very funny.

Same: I was going to watch the first few minutes because I'd never heard of him and was curious, and ended up watching the entire show plus two of his other videos while carrying my laptop around the house doing the home repair crap I had told myself I'd do. So good.

I'd just like to note that my husbear forgot about dessert and when he went to get it I booted this up and I told him that we'd watch this while we ate and I wouldn't ask any more from him.

My husbear really hates stand-up comedy, for reasons I cannot fathom. He adores Firesign Theater...

Anyway, when Matteo said the line "that's like buying pasta just to smell it" he snorted and turned to me and said "okay, that was funny". We were nearly done with our ice cream by then, and didn't watch much more.

I feel like a victory has been won.
