The Ultimate Geek Auction

A tour with WotC, a session to play D&D with them. Lifetime subscription to Steam. Ok, some items are better than others. But for Child's Play, the folks at PA are pulling one heckuva dream auction for geeks. More auction items are detailed, go to the the second news post.

Did I ever tell you how I was a beta player for Magic, long, long ago, when WotC was three to six people? You could tell it was going to be huge, huge, huge, because most of us were waaaay out of the demographic and at first the game simply ate our skulls. We couldn't stop playing.

I still have that battered beta deck somewhere or other under piles of dusty computer gear.

Damn. From wacky idea to massive charity in a year. It's a hell of a thing, really.

(Double post!)

Also, I'm really confused as to why the Google Ads are asking me to "reach out to homosexuals". Damn Google, you move in mysterious ways.

Yes, I know that Child's Play is old, it's more the items up for auction. It's like a geek's dream. Play D&D with WoTC? Tour Bungie? It's amazing what sort of cachet PA carries in the real world.

What other sort of amazing geek auctions or geek items have been for sale?
